The first couple of examples just show how to use some of the sub-controls in place of older SynthEdit controls, to do basically the same thing.
Use
a Patch Mem - List 2 to connect a sub-control like a Dropdown list to a List
Entry type connection.
A Patch Mem - Text lets you use a Text Entry2 in place of the
old Text Entry.
Is there any advantage to using the new sub-controls? When used this way,
probably not a whole lot. The Text Entry2 does have the option of multiline
entry, and both of these sub-controls allow you to select from several font
styles, which you specify in the global.txt file in your skin folder.
